Film Society Takes On Dark Comedy

Chris Colfer as Carson, a smart senior who wants to escape his close-minded small town

The Laguna Beach Film Society hosts a premiere of the dark comedy “Struck By Lightning” on Thursday, Dec. 20 at the South Coast Cinema at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10, and $5 for students. The showing includes a catechism with the director Brian Dannelly.

For $20, there will be provided wine and a lavish buffet with LBFS members at 6 p.m. at Laguna Art Museum.

The film stars Chris Colfer as Carson, a smart senior who wants to escape his close-minded small town. The film traces his machinations to do anything to get into a top college’s program, including blackmailing the popular kids to contribute to his literary magazine.

Contact Valerie Tate at 949-494-8971, ext. 203 for film society membership and ilm information.
