Art Appraiser for Failed Thrifts Speaks to Exchange Club
Appraiser Clarence “C” H. Boyd, who specializes in fine art, will speak to the Exchange Club on Thursday, June 2, about “Art – What’s It Worth? As It Turns Out, That Depends….”
Previously an owner of two art galleries, Boyd has been appraising fine art for over 25 years.
In the ‘90s, he was retained by the Resolution Trust Corporation to formulate valuation and divestiture strategies for the western region, including appraising fine art assets of Lincoln Savings and Loan and other distressed financial institutions.
The Exchange Club meeting will be held at 12:15 p.m. at Watermarc restaurant (upstairs), 448 S. Coast Highway. The cost for non-members is $20 and includes lunch.
Deena Harros of the Laguna Beach Visitors’ Bureau will be our speaker on June 9.
