Fundraiser Benefits Arts Education
Laguna College of Art & Design will host its 22nd annual Collector’s Choice Fine Art Event and Auction Saturday, June 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the campus, 2222 Laguna Canyon Road.
More than 400 patrons will enjoy a festive evening featuring a fine art raffle, silent and live auction, dining al fresco by Sundried Tomato and commemorative wine provided by Laguna Culinary Arts. Tickets are available for $150 each and include an opportunity to win artwork in the raffle.
An array of fine artwork generously contributed by local and regional professional artists go under the gavel and proceeds benefit student scholarships and provide funds to enhance facilities .
The emcee is Jim Nye. The public may visit the college gallery to preview the collection of artwork that will be available for auction.

The second annual Amazing Steals Live Auction from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, takes place at Saltfineart, 1492 S. Coast Highway.
In partnership with the Laguna-based charity Growers First, the gallery’s auction features 23 works from 18 museum-caliber Latin contemporary artists and live bidding begins at 7 p.m. With sangria flowing and the Rasta taco cart providing fresh chicken, carne asada and veggie tacos, the right to bid in and enjoy the auction is free with registration for a paddle.
A full auction catalog that details the artwork and participating artists will be available at www.saltfineart.com. Laguna resident David Vanderveen, a founding supporter of Growers First, will serve as the celebrity announcer.
Growers First helps connect small plot farmers directly to the commodity markets to improve profits from their own land.
