Reducing Trash One Lunch at a Time
Top of The World Elementary students received seedlings grown by Transition Laguna’s members and donated t-shirts from Laguna Beach’s Hobie shop and Laguna Canyon Foundation during a recent assembly.
The PTA-sponsored Green Team is celebrating efforts by students and parents to pack waste-free lunches throughout the remainder of the school year.
Thanks to the Green Team at TOW, led by Kimberly Leeds and student and parent volunteers, students earn weekly raffle tickets for bringing in trash free lunches to school, and names are randomly chosen to receive various prizes.
