Sport Swap, a Bargain-Hunter’s Paradise

Are your closets and garage areas bursting with unused or outgrown sports gear? Looking for an inexpensive wetsuit, paddleboard, or other piece of sports equipment? The fifth annual Thurston Middle School Sports Swap will turn your space-eating items into cash and save you money on gently-used sports items priced far below retail.

Toddler to adult-sized items will be sold at the TMS gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. by Thurston’s PTA, which will give sellers 60 percent of proceeds and keep the remainder. The sale is free and open to the public.

Drop-off used sporting goods and bring them priced to sell to Thurston on Friday, Nov. 1, between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Sponsors include Hobie, Stand Up Paddle, Laguna Cyclery, Eko SUP, Victoria Skimboards, SUP to You, Rip Curl, Billabong, Troy Lee Designs and Catch Surf. They will also be offering very generous deals on new and gently used items.

At 3 p.m., all unsold items will be discounted half off; unsold goods will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club.
