A baker’s dozen of former high school soccer players turned out for the annual alumni game, held last week.

Last year’s graduating class was represented by Jon Roberts, Travis Sampson and Christian Albarron; 2010 by Ian Greene; 2009 by Caine Fair, Jack Monroe, Daniel Selevan and Edgar Robodor; 2008 by Austin Hyden and Michael Tachovsky; 2006 by Tristan Bower and the CIF championship team of 1999 by Tyler Wolfe and Thomas Neptune.

There were many memorable moments, such as the long throw in by Fair into the six yard box, resulting in an alumni goal on a glancing header. Hyden also demonstrated his athletic dominance in the final third of the field that he is known for. Wolfe and Neptune showed us the creativity and magic that propelled their team to the top in ’99.

The current varsity players also had some moments of their own. Joseph Rousseau showed why he is one of the most dangerous players on the pitch. He put several shots into the alumni net during the course of game. Junior mid- fielder Reece Barton also was a stand out for his creativity and ability to accelerate around defenders. Sophomore defender Tyler Davidson went head to head with anyone who came into his area and broke up many alumni attempts at goal.
