Watercolorist is Honored

Laguna Beach artist David Solomon, recognized recently by California Watercolor as one of the country’s most notable watercolorists, will exhibit his latest work Dec. 17 and 18 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 450 Poplar St.
Solomon will be exhibiting 30 paintings from his upcoming book featuring scenes from Laguna. A Festival of Arts exhibitor for over 35 years, Solomon was the first artist commissioned to create a painting especially for the use in the Pageant of the Masters and also designed the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce’s seal.
His “Corner Light” is part of the Smithsonian Institute’s permanent collection.

Swenson Opens Solo Show: “Light and Spirit,” a one-man exhibition of Matt Lamb’s work opens on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 6-9 p.m. at the gallery, 460 S. Coast Highway.
