Ribbon Cutting at Coastal Eddy
Coastal eddy gallery celebrates their recent opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 18. Invited guests include members of the Laguna Beach City Council, Chamber of Commerce directors and state and county officials.
The new HIP district gallery, located at 1417 S. Coast Highway, focuses on ceramics and currently exhibits the sculptural and functional work of 20 different artists. Owner Robin Lee Riddell said the gallery’s name reflects the weather phenomenon unique to Southern California, “but also represents to the energy and excitement found within my gallery walls.”

Abstract Impressionist at the Artist Eye
The Artist Eye Laguna Gallery features “Color Fusion,” an abstract impressionist art form created by Southern California artist and philanthropist Dick Marconi, through July 31.
The gallery, located at 1294-A S. Coast Highway, will hold a reception with their 17 resident artists from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on July 20.
Hobrecht Gallery Finds New Home
Sports artist Dave Hobrecht recently relocated his gallery to 533 S. Coast Highway in the space formerly occupied by the Aviator Gallery next to Wyland.
