The Redfern Gallery, 1540 S. Coast Highway, will host a one-man show and book signing by Jon Crosby, author of “Coves and Beaches of Laguna,” on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 4-7 p.m.

Cosby was instrumental in helping to form the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. “The beaches and coves of Laguna have such a deep and personal connection with me I wanted to find a way to convey the incredibly unique look and feel of each and every one of them. I felt this definitive body of work should be published in a book so even after the paintings have found their homes people [could] enjoy the collection as a whole,” said Crosby.
