Singer-songwriter Beth Fitchet Wood and Festival of Arts’ exhibitors Scott Moore and Mike Tauber are nominees for artist of the year at the fifth annual Art Star Awards, the Laguna Beach Alliance for the Arts announced this week.

The winning artist of the year as well as winners in five other categories will be announced Friday, April 1, in a 6 p.m. event at Seven Degrees on Laguna Canyon Road.

Organizations, business and individuals who have contributed and shaped the arts and culture of the community and the county will be honored. “The 5th Annual Art Star Awards promises to be a five-star celebration, with an after-party and dancing to follow dinner and the awards,” said event chair Lisa Mansour.

Alliance members from more than 20 Laguna Beach arts organizations submitted nominees in five categories.
