Rainbow making brings joy to an art supply recipient.

Art festival visitors who donate new, unopened art supplies valued at $5 or more will receive free admission Aug. 15-19 to all three Laguna Beach art festivals. Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s) is the beneficiary of the art donations.

The program has been expanded to five days from two last year. The Arts Passport team, comprised of the three festivals and visitor’s bureau, and Bank of America reviewed a variety of beneficiaries, deciding that children in a curative environment such as CHOC would be compelling recipients.

Upon turning in their donated art supply, visitors will receive an embossed wristband that will admit them free of charge that day to all three Festivals. Donations must be unopened and may include such items as watercolor sets, watercolor, drawing or sketch pads, markers, colored pencils, art supplies boxes, and the like. They may be dropped off at any of the Festivals’ box offices.

The three festivals and the Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau offer the triple value Passport to the Arts for $19. Passport holders receive unlimited admission through Aug. 31 and are available online at www.LagunaBeachPassport.com, at each Festival’s box office, or by calling 949.497.0521.
