The Artists Fund at Festival of Arts is presenting its Art-To-Go fundraising sale now through Aug. 31 on the Festival grounds. A special Vote-and-Win Happy Hour sale is on Saturday, Aug. 8, 5-7:30 p.m., where select items will be discounted 10-20 percent.
Free prizes and wine samples will be provided.

Sandstone Offers Three Exhibits
During August, Sandstone Gallery features “Stillness and Illuminations,” fire paintings with assemblage on paper by Lawrence Terry, along with “Southern Comfort,” acrylic on paper paintings by Mada Leach, at 384 N. Coast Highway.
Makai, fused-glass sculpture by Marjorie Sanders, will be featured along with work by local artists Howard Hitchcock, Ann Kim, Sunny Kim, Anne Moore, Hyatt Moore, Jong Ro and Lynn Welker.
Be Creative, Quickly
Reach for your paintbrush at Art-A-Fair’s Old West Quick Draw, an event for participants and observers alike. At 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, artists of every experience level can paint, draw or photograph live old west models for an hour. The event is free with festival admission, $4.50-$7.50. Artists will need a signed release from models for any images from this event that they intend to sell.

Soiree Set for Contemporary Painter
The Signature Gallery will host a soiree for contemporary artist Jenny Simon Saturday, Aug. 15 from 7-9 p.m. at 220 Forest Ave. The evening will include cocktails and live music. Please RSVP to [email protected].
Simon, a native of Germany, utilizes color layering, sometimes applying over 20 layers on a single piece to create a thick texture of oil paint.
