Art Walk Features College Students’ Work

Students in the professional studies class at Laguna College of Art and Design were present at 15 Laguna Beach galleries, whose directors served as volunteer  mentors in the 12th annual collaboration between LCAD and First Thursdays Art Walk, which culminated on Dec. 5.

The student/gallery mentoring program launched by LCAD professor and Director of Careen Services Ron Flud, is designed to teach the fundamentals of work in the professional arena. “Every year I hope to instill in my students the importance of the business side of art, and not fear it,” says Flud.

Proceeds from the sale of student art benefits a student scholarship fund.
