The Laguna Beach Film Society presents the documentary, “Llyn Foulkes One Man Band,” on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. at the South Coast Cinema.
An extensive exhibit of the three-dimensional artist was held last year by Los Angeles’ Hammer Museum. Foulkes is famous for his obsessive reworking of his art and as the creator of a homemade drum, bell, and bike horn instrument. His painting “The Awakening” was recently purchased by actor Brad Pitt
Meet the artist and the director, Tamar Halpern, at the 6 p.m. reception at Laguna Art Museum. Tickets are free for LBFS members; $20 for nonmembers. Tickets are $5 for the film alone at the door.
