Members of the Laguna Beach American Legion Auxiliary proudly joined Homefront America, Inc. in making homemade cookies for troops being deployed from Camp Pendleton.

Post 222 historian Diane Connell took on the challenge to whip up 125 dozen cookies for Homefront organizer Mamie Yong Maywhort.

With the help of the auxiliary, firefighters, the Laguna Beach Assistance League, Dana Point Bridge Club and the Montage resort, the auxiliary collected 1500 assorted cookies and helped Homefront’s goal for 6,000 cookies.
