Seventy-two barefoot golfers hit the links and were tasked with teeing off wrong-handed, wearing oven mitts and other various handicaps for the 3 Clubs Barefoot Canyon Classic earlier this month.

The event hosted by The Ranch raised over $48,000 for SchoolPower, which fundraises for school enrichment programs. The Hobie store and Ranch underwrote the event and provided auction items, says an announcement.

SchoolPower president Taylor Pillsbury said, “the event raised 20 percent more than last year’s. This will help fund programs like music, class size reduction, athletics, the arts and high school counseling at all four Laguna public schools.”
