Coach Keith Henderson successfully led the Laguna Beach senior girls sixth- and ninth-grade Liberty basketball team of the Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach to winning the 2011 basketball league championship.
Team players including Madison Sinclair, Marianna McConnell, Aly Roitman, Claire Gershenson, Rachel Kenny and Mariana McConnell also achieved all-star league recognition.
Thurston Middle School sixth-grader Madison Sinclair was additionally recognized as best defensive player for the entire senior girls league.
