With the help of donations of clothing and accessories from 42 stores and numerous local residents, the fourth annual Boutique Benefit fundraiser held on May 22 raised $18,500 that will support the Laguna Relief and Resource Center, as well as help three Congolese women to rebuild their lives through womenforwomen.org.

The merchandise that was not sold during the one-day event held at Laguna Presbyterain Church was donated to the Assistance League of Laguna Beach, the Friendship Shelter and Human Options. “Hats off to Evonne Kane and her crew that spent endless hours assisting those in need,” said Cindy Campbell, the church’s liaison.

“The Laguna Resource Center appreciates the help so very much,” said Jane Fulton, executive director of the Resource Center, who also volunteered at the event.
