Girls Volleyball (19-7, 10-0) Orange Coast League Champions
Laguna concluded the league season with a sweep of Calvary Chapel on Monday, October 23 at the Eagles Gym. Missing key outside hitter, Lexi MKeown with illness, Laguna served the Eagles tough to survive 25-23, 25-22, 25-14 to win their 120th straight league match and their 13th consecutive league crown. JV also won, pushing their league win streak to 103, closing in on the team record 115 set in the 1990s. On Tuesday, Laguna lost to Foothill on Senior Night 26-24, 25-19, 25-14 with a number of players still ill. D3 SSCIF playoffs begin on Tuesday, October 31 at Dugger Gym. Brackets will post October 26. Breakers were D3 (then known as 2AA) champions in 2006 and 2007.
