Laguna took the top seed as expected in the Division 4 playoffs that began this week. The Breakers were hosting the wild card winners on Wednesday, May 13, on the local courts facing either Segerstrom (9-90 or Wilson/Hacienda Heights (11-5). Should Laguna prevail they would face the winner of Quartz Hill (19-0) and California (13-5) this Friday, May 15, with quarterfinals on Monday, semifinals Wednesday, May 20 and the finals on Friday, May 22 at the Claremont Club in Claremont. Breakers are 80-39 all time in the playoffs with three titles. Breakers were last in the finals in 2011.

The ninth annual Orange Coast League individuals were held last week with Ryan Gee repeating with the singles crown while Zach Washer/Tristan Krogius won the doubles. For Laguna, it was their seventh straight singles title and the sixth doubles title since joining the league.
