Laguna easily dispatched their first two rounds of the Division 4 Southern Section CIF playoffs crushing Valley Christian/Cerritos 16-2 on Wednesday, May 11, and defeating Westminster 15-3 Saturday, May 14. On Monday, May 16, the Breakers edged Tarbut V Torah 10-8 in the quarterfinals in Newport Beach. Ryan Gee swept the singles winning 6-0, 6-3, 6-1 and the No. 2 doubles team of Ethan Gee/Hayden Seitz also won their matches 6-1, 6-2, 6-1.
This past Wednesday, May 18, Laguna traveled to Alhambra to take on third-ranked Mark Keppel in the semifinals. A victory would put them in the finals for the second year in a row and their 10 finals appearance in the 82 years of the program. Finals were scheduled for Friday, May 20.
