Breakers continued to their non-conference play losing four-set match to fourth-ranked San Clemente 23-25, 25-23, 22-25, 16-25 on Tuesday, March 8, at Dugger Gym and a 22-25, 13-25, 25-16, 18-25 loss at 10th-ranked Santa Margarita on Thursday, March 10.

Against the Tritons, Breakers rallied to tie the contest in set one at 23 but could not close it out. They took set two, but could never hold their early leads in the final two sets. Tyler Alter had 20 kills and Pete Obradovich 16 to lead Laguna. Cole Paxson recorded 18 digs and Isaac Wulff had 36 assists.

Breakers passing had similar struggles at Santa Margarita on Thursday, March 10, but the hitting was not as consistent. Pete Obradovich led with 18 kills, Josh McManus had 13.

Breakers will play at Corona del Mar on Wednesday, March 16, before traveling to Santa Barbara to defend their Dos Pueblos tournament title on Saturday, March 19. Pool matches will be with Oxnard, Palisades, Bishop Alemany and Saugus. Top playoff opponents will be defending Division 2 CIF champion Oak Park, which defeated CdM last week, as well as Saddleback Valley Christian, Westlake, and Royal.
