Breakers were off since losing to Corona del Mar on Tuesday, March 17, and started their 10-match league season this past Thursday, March 26, at Costa Mesa. Laguna is the clear favorite to capture their ninth consecutive league title and the program’s 29th in the past 44 seasons of the sport at Laguna. Currently Laguna has won 58 straight league matches and 146 straight sets in league play. Breakers overall record is 4-3 and does not include the four pool match sweeps at the Dos Pueblos tournament since they were only a best of two set format and not the required best-of-three set format per the rules.
