Laguna competes in the Bay Area this weekend in the annual North-South Challenge. Breakers open Friday, Oct. 14, against Miramonte of Orinda at Palo Alto’s Gunn High School. Play in the 16-team tournament will conclude on Saturday, Oct. 15, with the winner’s bracket at Sacred Heart in Atherton.

Last week, the Breakers won a pair of games crushing Costa Mesa 15-4 in a league contest on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Mesa pool. Colton Gregory scored five goals to pace Laguna while Sebastian Jacobs added three scores to lead the visitors to their 51st straight league victory. Laguna controlled the match early taking a 5-0 lead barely half way through the initial period. The following day, Laguna edged Dana Hills 9-8 in overtime for their sixth straight win.
