Laguna tuned up for their upcoming Division 2 CIF run, splitting a pair of contests last week to conclude the regular season. Laguna had little resistance in defeating Capistrano Valley 11-3 on Tuesday, Nov. 1, but dropped an 11-7 match to D1 Newport Harbor on Friday, Nov. 4. Breakers are the top seed in the Division 2 playoffs and met Santa Monica this past Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the local pool. Should the seedings hold, Laguna would then travel this Saturday, Nov. 12 to the winner of the contest between the eighth and ninth ranked teams, Hoover of Glendale and Dos Pueblos, respectively. Semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 19 at a site not yet announced and the finals on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Woollett Center adjacent to Irvine High School.

Final Rankings: 1 – Laguna, 2 – Agoura, 3 – Santa Margarita, 4 – Long Beach Wilson, 5 – Murrieta Valley, 6 – Palos Verdes, 7 – Ventura, 8 – Hoover, 9 – Dos Pueblos, 10 – Villa Park.
