Boys Are CIF Champs!

Laguna swimmers saved their best for last, set a new school record in the 4 x 100 relay and vaulting the team to their first CIF title in 54 years last Saturday, May 16, at Riverside City College.

The title is the school’s 41st Southern Section sports banner since earning their first section championship for football in 1946.

Breakers returned this year to the much more competitive Division 2 level after six years at Division 3 and pulled off the swim crown with a squad of eight swimmers. Laguna coaches Beth Weber and Kari Damato have turned around results despite Laguna’s antiquated facilities and tradition.
