Football (2-3)

After going 2-3 for the non-league portion of the schedule, Laguna opens conference play on Friday, Oct. 9 hosting Costa Mesa (4-1) at Guyer Field. This is the 10th year of the Orange Coast League with Laguna having a 24-15 record and three titles to show for their membership. Computer forecasting doesn’t bode well for the Breakers as they may be hard pressed to win a game this league season. Key in the first game will be the total offense juggernaut in Jack Simon, who has rushed for 476 yards and thrown for 495. Costa Mesa is led by their do-it-all player Cameron Curet, who scored all of the Mustang points in their 15-6 win over Savanna in their last game on Sept. 26.
