Laguna Beach’s varsity boys soccer team seemed to cruise through a scrimmage against Beckman at Guyer Field last Friday, Nov. 26, led by new head coach Dan Richards.

Goalie Alec Williams kept a clean sheet with a 2-0 final score. Both goals were scored in the first half, one each by forwards Sam Stinnett and Reece Barton.

The Breakers kept the Beckman goalie and defense busy with many shots at goal and allowed little play in front of the Breakers’ goal. Major game support came from Travis Sampson, Matt Finkelstein, Austin Hillemann, and Morgan Curry, who filled out the midfield and supported the back.  Another player to watch this season is freshman Chris Tellez.

The team played this past Wednesday, Dec. 1, in a pre-season opener at Sage Hill and at San Juan Hills on Friday, Dec. 3 at 3:15 p.m.
