OC Parks and the Laguna Canyon Foundation invite all to join them on Saturday, Sept. 1 from 12 – 4 p.m. for the next installment of the educational series “Under the Sycamores” at Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park. Butterfly experts will be on hand to introduce and educate participants about monarch butterflies at the sycamore grove in front of the Aliso and Wood Canyon Ranger Station.
Those who attend will be able to enter a butterfly tent and see real butterflies in different life stages. A 30-minute presentation will begin at noon followed by crafts, activities, games and prizes. Participants will learn how to build their own butterfly gardens at home.
