Reviewing zoning and development standards in Laguna Canyon is the focus of two upcoming planning study sessions. The Planning Commission reviews a draft report by the MIG consulting team on Wednesday, July 13, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers and a public workshop is set for Wednesday, July 27, at 6 p.m. at the Laguna Beach Community and Susi Q Center.
The consultants are expected to lay out their recommendations for modifications to existing planning documents, specific plans in the Laguna Canyon Annexation Area and Sarah Thurston Park, and areas outside either of the plans.
The focus will be on establishing standards for defining descriptive terms and potential modifications to zoning and development standards.
