Cartoonist Draws a Crowd to Local Gallery

Cartoonist Ron Campbell, involved with The Beatles’ “Yellow Submarine” recording, “The Flintstones” television show and countless other famous animations, will be at the Forest & Ocean Gallery, 8480 Ocean Ave., Dec. 5-7.

Campbell will create cartoons at the gallery and engage audiences in lively talks about his work and career. The exhibit is free and all works, including paintings and original cartoons, will be available for purchase.

Campbell’s hours: Dec. 5, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Dec. 6, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Dec. 7, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

 

 

 

Sandstone Gallery Opens New Show

“Dreamscapes,” oil paintings on canvas by Ann Kim will be featured along with “Subjectively,” sculpture and paintings by Marie-Pierre Philippe in the Sandstone Gallery, 384-A N Coast Highway, through Jan. 1.
