Laguna Beach resident Maya Dunne was honored recently by the Public Law Center with its Founders Award.
Last month, the center, Orange County’s pro bono law firm, honored members of the local legal community at its annual Volunteers for Justice Dinner in Irvine.
The keynote speaker was the Honorable Tani Cantil-Sakauye, chief justice of California. Nearly 1,000 people attended the event. PLC honored Paul Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP and Fermin Valencia for exemplary volunteer service.
The event raised more than $620,000 to support the organization’s efforts in providing access to justice for Orange County’s low-income residents.
