All are invited to welcome home two local Olympians, water polo gold medalists Aria and Makenzie Fischer, from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Laguna Beach High School Stadium.
The Laguna Beach sisters are the youngest members of the U.S women’s water polo team and recently returned from competing in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Fischer family was treated to one of the last performances of the season at the Pageant of the Masters last week. That also included meeting with Festival of Arts exhibitor Scott Moore, who 10 years ago had drawn the sisters as children for a painting titled “Ice Cream Man.”
The welcome will include food, carnival-style games, face painting, photo booth, arts and crafts and autograph signings.
