Laguna Beach’s Chamber of Commerce announced nominees to its Spirit of Laguna Awards, which will be announced at its December board meeting.
The winners will be honored on Jan. 31 during an installation scheduled from 6-9 p.m. at Seven Degrees, 891 Laguna Canyon Road.
And the nominees are:
For business of the year; Pacific Edge Hotel, Whole Foods, Surf & Sand Hotel.
Volunteer of the year; Wendy Potter, Rosanne Nitti and JoBeth Prud’homme.
Citizen of the year; Michael Kinsman and Sherrine Smith.
Green enterprise of the year; Laguna Nursery-Ruben Flores, Valley Crest Landscape, Mission Hospital and Green Tree General Store.
Building industry of the year; Gallo Construction, Laguna Construction & Builder and Mark Orgill.
Non-profit of the year; Laguna Beach Woman’s Club, radio station KX 93.5 and Laguna Beach Seniors.
Restaurant of the year; The Cliff, Alessa and Nirvana Grill.
Government official of the year; Assemblyman Alan Mansoor, Senator Mimi Walters and Board of Equalization member Michelle Steele.
City professional of the year; Ben Siegel, Christa Johnson, Larry Bammer and UPS Store.
Retail store of the year; Buy Hand, 11th Moon and SUP to You.
Gallery of the year; Coastal Eddy and CES Contemporary
Professional service of the year; Cook Business Solutions, Caduceus Medical Group and Larry Nokes, Nokes & Quinn.
