The City Council revisits regulations of short-term vacation rentals at its next meeting Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Potential changes, including a repeal or revision of current permit requirements or an extension of the current moratorium on new permits, are up for discussion, Assistant City Manager Christa Johnson says in a statement.

The City Council will consider the staff report and public input and is expected to provide further direction on how the city should tackle the issue, which has prompted a rash of complaints from residents about obnoxious overnight visitors.

  1. Hotel guests can also cause problems, create unnessary noises and party. Long term renters can do the same, as well as cause considerable damage to apartments that are costly to the owner. We’ve seen it on some of apartments.

    So go figure!
