Club Helps School Gardens Thrive
The Laguna Beach Garden club donated $1,120 each to El Morro School, Top of the World School and Thurston Middle School.
The donation will be used for seeds, soil amendments, tools and plants to continue gardening at the schools.
The Garden club is also pleased to support Grow Your Own!, a grant to the Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano.
The GYO Grant was awarded to Top of the World Elementary for teacher training, on-site workshops and access to curriculum. GYO! gardens are designed to educate about sustainability in food, water, waste, shelter and energy.

Club Soccer Tryout Dates Announced
Boys and girls 7 to 12 years old are invited to a free tryout for the Laguna Beach chapter of the Pateodores club soccer alliance Dec. 3, 10 and 17 at El Morro Elementary.
Mike Thomas directs the team, part of the 13-chapter Pateodore program.
