Free Workshop Promotes School Readiness
Sandee Bandettini, an early learning specialist, will lead a free parent workshop offering tips and strategies for kindergarten readiness from 10:30-11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at the Laguna Beach Public Library, 363 Glenneyre St.
The workshop will include a story time and art activity for children and resources for parents.

LBHS, TOW Make the Grade
Laguna Beach High School and Top of the World Elementary School are among 1,866 public schools statewide to receive the title of 2016 Honor Roll school from two business organizations, administrators said in an announcement.
Educational Results Partnership, based in Sacramento, and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence, which share common board members, single out schools with consistent high levels of student academic achievement and declining achievement gaps. For high schools, recognition includes measures of college readiness, the statement says.
The program is supported by the Auto Club, Macy’s, Wells Fargo, Enterprise Holdings Foundation, and private foundations.
