Campus Re-Opens for Night Session

 

Arts Night at Top of the World Elementary earlier this month drew 330 families.

 

The school’s multipurpose room was successfully transformed into “The Dolphin Gallery” for the evening, and featured a visual arts piece exhibited by every student in the school. 

 

Talk on Parenting in the Digital Age

 

Parents are invited to a talk on parenting in the digital age Tuesday, Feb. 28, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Artists’ Theatre.

 

The district hosted workshop will police Detective Natalie Leal, Thurston Middle School Assistant Principal Mike Modeer, along with the district’s technology director Victor Guthrie and Laguna Beach High School principal Bob Billinger.

Art Contest Seeks Entries

 

The Laguna Beach County Water District is seeking entries for its Roll Out the Rain Barrel Art Contest among secondary and college students within the city.

 

Participants must create an original design on the back of the official entry form, which can be picked up at the district’s headquarters , 306 Third St., or on www.lagunabeachwater.com.

Enticing Students Into the Lab

 

SchoolPower is seeking public support for its fund-a-need initiative “Into the Lab,” an attempt to get more students to put aside textbooks to enter science labs.

 

To ensure that students continue to receive a top science education, SchoolPower is seeking $68,100 at its March 3 dinner dance for science improvements at Laguna Beach High School.
