LCAD Student Raises Funds For Good
Jessica Necor, 20, a graphic design student at Laguna College of art and Design, recently launched an ambitious campaign to raise $10,000 in 45 days to purchase supplies for poor families, school children, and Typhoon Bopha victims in the Philippines.
In July, she will go on a mission trip to the Philippines to film a documentary and build homes for families that have and do live in garbage dumps. This campaign will fund the purchase of supplies, school supplies (as Necor’s team of young adults raised money a few years ago to build a school and village), clothing and food. Necor’s goal is to reach 1,000 families.

The event honored winners who entered the L. Ron Hubbard Writers and Illustrators of the Future contest. Both England and Slater won for illustration.
