Laguna Beach High School hosts its annual College Round Up at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, attended by representatives of more than 130 colleges and universities as well as test prep companies.

The PTA-sponsored event is a cost effective opportunity for students and their families to explore post-secondary educational options before visiting college campuses. Information about admission requirements, on-campus housing, areas of study, athletics, scholarships, financial aid and more is available to help students make informed decisions regarding life after high school.

Two separate sessions are available for students and family members from 6 to 7 p.m.: Princeton Review will host a test taking workshop in the Artists’ Theatre, while Anne Akers from Irvine Valley College will describe the state and UC transfer path at a workshop in the LBHS library.

The College Round Up takes place in Dugger Gym from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Representatives from the Laguna Beach High School Scholarship Foundation will also be available to answer questions about financial opportunities. Last year, foundation donors awarded 271 individual scholarships totaling $355,110 to 130 graduating LBHS seniors.
