Scott Daigre, known as “Mr.Tomatomania,” shares his secrets with the Laguna Beach Garden Club at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11. The club meets in Presbyterian Church’s Tankersley Hall, 415 Forest Ave.

Daigre planted roots in Ojai, home to Tomatomania and his company, Powerplant Garden Design. In addition to being a certified Tomatomaniac, he is a published author, garden educator, and guest on radio and TV programs.

Daigre will describe how to grow perfect tomatoes in home gardens and more about Tomatomania, the world’s largest (and most fun) tomato seedling sale. Tomatomania events include a stop at Roger’s Gardens in Corona del Mar, March 8-10. Ruben Flores of Laguna Nursery plans a special delivery of the heirloom and rare varieties that are the hallmark of Tomatomania.
