Alliance ‘Springs’ Into Action

The Laguna Beach Community Alliance, a project to promote networking and education for and about local groups, is gearing up to host their second annual Info Expo in May and will be holding an expo planning meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 7, at the Laguna Beach Woman’s Club, 286 St. Ann’s Drive. Local groups are encouraged to attend.

The Info Expo provides local groups with the free opportunity to learn, share and network, meeting other groups and letting the community know about who they are and what they do. Spaces at the expo, held in the farmer’s market parking lot next to City Hall, are assigned on a first come, first served basis, and those who attend the March 7 planning meeting will be given priority for their booth location. To register for a space at the expo, visit www.LBCAlliance.org.

For more information, attend the March 7 meeting or call the Woman’s Club at 497-1200. Or go online to www.LBCAlliance.org to register. Registrants will receive their space number by a return email.

Veterans Catered to Their Valentines

Over 44 guests attended the annual Valentines Social held by the American Legion Post 222 and VFW Post 5868 at the Legion Post on Feb. 17.

Coordinated by Ladies Auxiliary member Sande St. John, the event served as an occasion for the men to entertain the ladies with music and flowers, as well as to serve them their steak and chicken dinner, which was prepared by Mozambique Restaurant, thanks to Ivan Spiers and his staff.

A heartfelt time was had by all.
