Serving Survivors of Human Trafficking

Laguna Presbyterian Church hosts guest speaker and iSanctuary volunteer, Lynn Drury, describe the future for girls rescued from human trafficking on Sunday, July 21 at 10 a.m.

The church’s Women Walking group supports non profits which empower women to live full lives through education, micro-finance and prevention of gender-based violence. Irvine-based iSanctuary aids women who have survived sex trafficking and employs them in jewelry production.

Village Laguna Sets the Table for Annual Picnic

The public is welcome to join Village Laguna’s annual potluck picnic, scheduled for Monday, July 22, at 6 p.m. at Aliso Beach.

Beverages will be provided, and there will be hot dogs and the makings for s’mores to cook over the campfire. Please bring a dish for six to share, your own plates and utensils as well as beach chairs.

Parking is available immediately adjacent to the beach for $1 an hour.

 

Specialty Food Shop Opens

Laguna Wine, Coffee, & Specialty Foods has opened its doors, sharing the space with the Laguna Beach Visitors Center, both located at 381 Forest Ave.

Offering a varied selection of domestic and international wines and beers, Laguna Wine’s goal is to educate customers and assist them in finding the perfect beverage.

They also offer a variety of specialty foods including oils, vinegars, teas, pastas, sauces, marinades and espresso, as well as all natural, certified organic and gluten-free products.

Laguna Wine, Coffee, & Specialty Foods is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

 

Reminder for Holders of Shopper Permits

The city’s residential shopper permits are not valid at the on-street parking meters located on Laguna Canyon Road or the frontage road in front of the Sawdust Festival during the summer season.

The permits are also not valid in the Lumberyard or Forest and Laguna Canyon city parking lots.

Shopper permits are valid in the ACT V city parking lot in Laguna Canyon during the summer season, and at the parking meters adjacent to the dog park anytime of the year.
