Grammy award winning jazz pianist Bill Cunliffe collaborates with saxophonist Bob Sheppard & Friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, at Seven-Degrees, 891 Laguna Canyon Road.

Cunliffe is best known for winning the 1989 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Award, while Sheppard’s sax can be heard on “American Idol.”

The Laguna Swing Society Live invites the public to listen and learn to dance at UU Fellowship Hall, 429 Cypress, Saturday March 22, 5-7 p. m. Refreshments available.  Tickets at the door.  Adults $15, students $10.

Local to Lead Symphony

Laguna Beach resident and former competition winner Isaac Kramer conducts South Coast Symphony’s Beethoven’s Concerto No. 3 on Friday, March 21, at Laguna Hills’ Crossline Church.

The performance will include winners of the symphony’s Young Stars of the Future competition.
