Local fitness guru Shelley Arends is setting a new pace for herself. At her Rhythm Ride spin studio in Laguna Beach, she’s known for creating a cardio workout that gives riders of every fitness level a fun experience with choreographed classes that develop core strength.

Now one of her disciples, Kristen Grossman, is taking a new set of locals for a spin and heating things up with Cycle Town, an indoor cycling studio in Hingham, Mass.

Cycle Town is the first East Coast studio patterned after the Rhythm Ride created by Arends. The Laguna Beach entrepreneur has developed a certification program and plans to expand the Rhythm Ride brand globally.
