Surterre Properties collected about 14,096 pounds of electronic waste at their Jan. 14 eWaste drive. Additionally, approximately 6,500 pounds of confidential documents were shredded on site by ProShred, saving about 60 trees.

A free service to the public held quarterly in different areas of Orange County, Surterre’s eWaste drives offer community members a chance to help keep our planet and its landfills clean by bringing their old electronics such as television sets, fax machines and printers to these events for recycling, as well as paper to be shredded by ProShred.

The eWaste drives also raise funds for the Earth Resource Foundation, a nonprofit that educates the public on a variety of green issues. For more information, or to find out about a local eWaste drive, call 949-717-7100 or visit www.surterreproperties.com.
