Our elected, part-time city treasurer, who has never been challenged in 17 years, has full pension and benefits, has charged the city $6,800 annually to maintain her CPA certifications and bills over 80 hours per year for professional development and education.
This is a part-time, elected position that every other elected city treasurer in Orange County has managed without pension, benefits or professional development costs. Additionally, the incumbent has more hours budgeted for duties than any other city treasurer.
It is not to the taxpayers’ benefit for individuals to run for part-time elected office and receive very expensive entitlements due to lack of public involvement. Challenger Anne McGraw has successfully run a local bookkeeping business for 18 years and has 14 years of operational banking experience. Four sitting councilpersons, former council members and the former city manager all support Anne McGraw because they are most familiar with the position. Vote for Anne McGraw for city treasurer.
