The school district invites students, parents, staff and members of the public to participate in an online survey about the district’s Local Control Accountability Plan by Jan. 30.

The survey on the LBUSD homepage, www.lbusd.org, should take 10 minutes to complete and will assist the district in identifying organizational strengths and areas needing improvement.

The state-mandated accountability plan reflects the district’s goals and plans to attain them and illustrates how the district’s budget will help achieve the goals.

Eight areas are identified in the plan as priorities: basic services, implementing state standards, pupil achievement, pupil engagement, parental involvement, school climate, course access
and other student outcomes.

“It is imperative that we elicit input from all stakeholders in order to provide the best possible plan for our students here in Laguna Beach,” said special projects coordinator Amy Kernan in a statement.
