Film Society Screens Indie Award Nominee

2 getting out 2 Short-Term-12“Short Term 12,” the limited release film considered one of the top indie films of 2013, is screening in Laguna Beach on Thursday, Feb. 20, to celebrate the month of love.

The film traces the story of the kids in a foster care facility and their passionate supervisor, Grace played by Brie Larson.

The film will screen at 7 p.m. at Laguna Art Museum after a prefilm reception with wine and appetizers at 6 p.m.; $20 or free for Laguna Beach Film Society members.

Live Beach Live! brings the Anthony Wilson Trio to Seven-Degrees event center, 891 Laguna Canyon Rd., on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 6-8 p.m.

The guitarist, composer and arranger has recorded 10 solo albums since his Grammy-nominated debut recording was released in 1997.
