On March 11, The Indy printed an apology for an article in the Coastal Real Estate Guide insert that contained a misrepresentation and initiated an investigation. The investigation is now complete.
The article incorrectly stated that a Laguna Beach businessman had been a Navy Seal. Numerous Seal members condemned the overstatement and the businessman has now apologized. As a result of the transgression, the businessman and his employer have now parted ways.
We regret the error.
Well done. Great follow up.
Thank you LBI and the (real SEALs) who worked behind the scenes to expose this joker. Amazing that he though he could get away with making such claims in public. I guess he’s just been doing it so long that he felt safe. How’s that humiliation burning in your cheeks and the sick feeling in your gut, clown?
He “apologized” to who? Where, how?
May I ask who he apologized to?
He apologized to the paper’s owner, Allan Simon.
He’s lucky you didn’t print his name. He’s already working at another agency.
